Gift of Strawberries: Photos by Samantha Archer & Kimberly Huyett
There’s a lot of literature written about the oyster, and its place in human history. In many areas of the world, archeologists link the oyster to the sustenance of our earliest of human ancestors, and write about the great oystershell middens scattered about the prehistoric landscape. Poets and writers, both past and present, praise the oyster with eloquent lines of verse and prose. Quotes and anecdotes, too, share our thoughts and joys for the oysters we hold dear.
