Fascinating! This photo distorts the sense of scale and the beans end up looking fist-sized.

I ADORE fava beans. We English call 'em broad beans. I love them when they're new and soft and sweet, and I love 'em when they get older and you can pop them out of their skin and get that glorious color green. My mouth is watering!!
