Wendell Berry (born August 5, 1934, Henry County, Kentucky) is an academic, cultural critic and farmer. He is a prolific author of novels, short stories, poems, and essays. He is also an elected member of the Fellowship of Southern Writers.
March 5, 2009—Former Stegner Fellow Wendell Berry, a poet, farmer, and activist, will sign books at a reception at Ken Sanders Rare Books, 268 E. 200 S., from 5-6 p.m. After the reception, at 6:30 p.m., Berry will read at the Salt Lake Masonic Temple, 650 E. South Temple. Both events are free and open to the public.
